Birds´twittering, a pleasant babbling of a brook and then you hear the soft tone of an Irish tin-whistle, woven into the sounds of fiddle, mandolin and guitar. The voice of folksinger Wibke Jackson takes you on a musical journey that celebrates simple living, the robin in her garden or the longing for rain on a hot summer´s day. Although, or maybe because, the songwriter comes from the industrial Ruhr area in Germany, she dedicated herself to the love of nature, which is reflected in her debut-album "Child of Nature".
The singer-songwriter was musically inspired by her performing activities in various formations, ranging from Irish Folk (also with Gaelic songs) and Bluegrass to cover-songs from the rock and pop genre. All these influences can be found on the CD "Child of Nature", all the songs are self-penned material.
She was hereby supported by her husband Dave Jackson - for whom she composed the country-ballad "Fall in Love once again" - and fellow musicians.
